A global network of IEEE volunteers partnering with underserved communities & local organizations to leverage technology for sustainable development.

IEEE SIGHT (Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology) is a catalyst for change guided by the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.  Through its web-based platform, IEEE members form SIGHT Groups to partner with local communities to share ideas, gain experiences, and implement technology projects to tackle key problems facing the community.  Projects have broad and lasting impact; examples include improving efficiency of farm irrigation, bridging the digital divide through access to the Internet and developing electronic training tools for students.  While groups work independently under the IEEE umbrella, IEEE SIGHT provides the key resources needed for the projects to thrive - funding, professional guidance and educational resources.
