#IEEEGivingTuesday Breaks a New Record with US$178,000+ in Donations
Each year, the strength and generosity of the IEEE and IEEE Foundation community continues to grow; and 2023 was no exception. Nearly 550 donors generously gave a combined US$178,000 on this Giving Tuesday. This total includes US$64,000 worth of gifts that were matched by individual contributions from IEEE Foundation Directors. That is the most given to an #IEEEGivingTuesday campaign ever. You awe and inspire us with your philanthropy.
We are pleased to announce that the following eight programs received incentive grants totalling US$3,750 based on the number of donors and community fundraisers::
- EPICS in IEEE
- IEEE Awards

Five decades of illuminating, educating, engaging and energizing has brought us to today, where we – together – are a robust community of philanthropists affecting real change. All of the Giving Tuesday donors should take pride knowing they generated significant support for IEEE programs. The breadth and impact of these programs is impressive and they:
- Illuminate the possibilities of technology to address global challenges
- Educate the next generation of innovators and engineers
- Engage a wider audience to appreciate the impact of engineering
- Energize innovation by celebrating excellence
- Provide Future-facing initiatives that shape the destiny of the next generation.
If you would like to join them, there are still opportunities to give before the end of 2023.
