IEEE Foundation: “A Worthy Option”

Jerry & Sheryl Hudgins

Jerry L. Hudgins is a Life Fellow of IEEE, and has a long history with Technical Activities, IEEE Administration, and now with the IEEE Foundation. Jerry and his wife, Sheryl, are now deepening that commitment by joining the IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League.

The timing is right for them to put a new focus on planned giving, as Jerry says with retirement a few years off, the couple is making adjustments to their trust, not only for their family but for designated charities.

Their connection with the IEEE Foundation is strong, and Jerry says they are excited to be able to support the organization’s mission and programs. He shares that excitement with others, saying “I strongly urge everyone that may be thinking of supporting the Foundation or a specific program of the Foundation, to consider an estate gift. It is a great way to make a statement about what is important to you, and causes minimal interference with your day-to-day routine and lifestyle. I would certainly encourage everyone to consider this sort of gift, and it has a large impact that lives beyond you, but yet has no financial impact while you are living.”

Jerry adds, “If you believe in the good work for humanity of IEEE and the IEEE Foundation, how could you not see this as a worthy option?”

We couldn’t agree more, and are deeply grateful to Jerry and Sheryl, and all our generous Goldsmith Legacy League donors, and invite you to consider joining them.
