Inspiring the Future

Give tomorrow - Planned Giving

Realizing the Full Potential of IEEE

Your planned gift is a powerful way for you to help build the future resources IEEE needs to foster, encourage, and inspire the next generation of engineers. Planned gifts are best developed during your lifetime so you receive appropriate recognition and appreciation from IEEE leadership and other members of note.

A planned gift typically comes from a donor's assets rather than income. Some planned gifts can provide additional income, plus significant tax deductions. Your planned gift can either be outright or deferred, thus protecting family and friends while still providing for IEEE.

Highly trained members of the IEEE Foundation staff will work closely and confidentially with you to integrate your charitable objectives with your overall financial, tax, and estate plans. This partnership will maximize benefits to both you and IEEE. Typical types of planned gifts include:

Life Insurance
Name the IEEE Foundation as your beneficiary or donate an existing policy that you no longer need.

  Will or Trust Provision
Make a charitable bequest to the IEEE Foundation in your will or living trust.

Charitable Remainder Trust
Receive income and arrange a future gift that will benefit the IEEE Foundation.
  Retirement Plan
Avoid "double taxation" by naming the IEEE Foundation as beneficiary of your retirement plan.

IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League
An elite group of donors who are Forever Generous.
They are building tomorrow by making planned gifts to benefit future generations of engineers.

The IEEE Foundation, Incorporated is an organization qualified under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in the United States.
