Donor Recognition Program
With contributions from generous sponsors around the world, the IEEE Foundation invests in philanthropic programs that advance technology and education for the benefit of humanity. Every donor who makes a gift to the IEEE Foundation makes a difference.
We recognize donors for their generous support through two donor recognition groups
The philanthropic spirit among IEEE Foundation donors reflects a strong desire to "give back" to IEEE. Our donors are loyal, giving consistently throughout their career and lifetime. We recognize this level of ongoing commitment from our Honored Philanthropists to the IEEE Foundation in the IEEE Heritage Circle.
Honored Philanthropists are those whose donations and/or pledges to IEEE Foundation total US$10,000 or more since 1 January 1995. Automatically recognized as members of the IEEE Heritage Circle, donors are categorized respectively within six named giving levels ranging from US$10,000 to more than US$1M
The IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League is an elite group of planned giving donors who are Forever Generous. The group is named for Gertrude and Alfred Goldsmith whose philanthropic vision seeded the IEEE Foundation's ability to support IEEE's mission. Members of the IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League are building tomorrow by leaving legacy gifts to benefit future generations of engineers. Many members have included a bequest in their will or trust document. Some have named the IEEE Foundation as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement plan, or charitable remainder trust. To join simply contact the IEEE Development Office and let them know you have arranged for a planned gift to either IEEE or the IEEE Foundation.
Naming Opportunities: The IEEE Foundation offers a variety of naming opportunities for a wide range of giving.
