To express our gratitude, the IEEE Foundation distinguishes individuals, corporations, and friends who contribute $100 or more during the calendar year. The Advocates Association has four member categories to recognize gifts of US$100 to $999. The Leadership Association has seven member categories to recognize gifts of US$1,000 and more.

IEEE Heritage Circle - Honored Philanthropists - downloadable brochure (1.45MB)

The philanthropic spirit among IEEE Foundation donors reflects a strong desire to personally "give back" to IEEE. Our donors are loyal, giving consistently throughout their career and lifetime. We recognize this level of ongoing commitment from our Honored Philanthropists to the IEEE Foundation in the IEEE Heritage Circle.

Honored Philanthropists are individuals whose donations to IEEE Foundation total US$10,000 or more since 1 January 1995. Automatically recognized as members of the IEEE Heritage Circle, donors are categorized respectively within five named giving levels ranging from US$10,000 to over US$500,000.

The IEEE Development Office provides confidential information regarding the status of cumulative gifts of cash, securities, gifts of cash prizes, pledge payments, gifts of royalties, and donor-advised gifts, and alerts contributors when milestones are reached.

IEEE Circle of Honor - Recognizing Institutional Gifts

The IEEE Circle of Honor will recognize and highlight institutional donors with cash and stock gifts totaling $100,000 or more since 1 January 1998. Qualifying donors will automatically be added to 1 of the 6 giving levels, which are named for laws and operations commemorating electromagnetic phenomena that underpin all modern information and communication technologies.

IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League - Forever Generous - downloadable brochure (699KB)

The IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League is an elite group of planned giving donors who are Forever Generous. The group is named for Alfred N. and Gertrude Goldsmith whose philanthropic vision seeded the IEEE Foundation's ability to support IEEE's mission. Members of the IEEE Goldsmith Legacy League are building tomorrow by leaving legacy gifts to benefit future generations of engineers. Many members have included a bequest in their will or trust document. Some have named the IEEE Foundation as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement plan, or charitable remainder trust. To join simply contact the IEEE Development Office and let them know you have arranged for a planned gift to either IEEE or the IEEE Foundation.

Naming Opportunities:: The IEEE Foundation offers a variety of naming opportunities for a wide range of giving.
