The IEEE Foundation, Incorporated is qualified under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). Donations to the IEEE Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law in the United States. For other countries, please check with your local tax adviser regarding tax deductions of charitable contributions.
Investment earnings derived from donations made to IEEE Foundation funds are reinvested for the purpose(s) that the donation was originally made unless otherwise stated.
Donors who receive low cost articles with a fair value exceeding the U.S. IRS threshold will be notified that the tax deductible amount of their donation have been reduced by the fair value of the items.
A modest administrative fee of 0.4% will be annually assessed to all qualifying funds beginning on 1 July 2016.
