Support IEEE Day and Help Realize Our Potential

The Realize the Full Potential of IEEE Campaign is working across IEEE’s expansive network to raise awareness, forge partnerships and fund IEEE programs. With your support, we are nearly 99% of the way to our US$30 million goal.

This year, we partnered with IEEE Day to promote the final phase of the Campaign as we celebrate IEEE Day 2020 today, Tuesday, 6 October.

Worldwide IEEE Day celebrations demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow. This year, all events will be virtual, and there is still time to hold your event in support of IEEE Foundation and the IEEE programs it supports through donations to the Campaign.

The IEEE Foundation photo contest is one option. Your photo submission could depict any event held in support of the Campaign. The photo may also creatively highlight any or all of the IEEE Foundation’s Four Pillars, or any of the IEEE donor-supported programs. Contest submission period ends on 17 October.

You may also choose to leverage social media and spread the word to friends, family and colleagues by holding a crowdfunding event. Contact the IEEE Foundation for more information.

Visit the IEEE Day site for more event inspiration and learn how to submit your entry by 17 October.

While the world benefits from what’s new, IEEE focuses on what’s next. IEEE Day celebrates the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. Now engraved in its essence, the IEEE Day’s theme is: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.” The IEEE Foundation works across IEEE to invest in IEEE programs that bring the promise of technology and the knowledge to use it to the world, so it is only natural that we participate and ask our supporters to as well.

So let’s see how creative everyone can be as we celebrate IEEE Day as a community, and help raise awareness and realize the Campaign goal.
