As a non profit organization qualified under the United States Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c)(3), the IEEE Foundation takes its obligation to serve the public good very seriously. Accordingly, we make information regarding our standing as a tax exempt organization available. You may also view our financial statements.
The IEEE Foundation, Incorporated, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated (IEEE) are organizations qualified under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in the United States. For other countries, please check with your local tax adviser regarding tax deductions of charitable contributions.
Donors who receive low cost articles with a fair value exceeding the U.S. IRS threshold will be notified that the tax deductible amount of their charitable gift(s) have been reduced by the fair value of the items.
